R & D Multiple’s butterfly valves have been very commonly used in various water supply schemes all over India for past 2 decades. Irrespective of sizes, pressure ratings, fluids handled, type of operators etc. our BF valves are the most preferred choice of the discerning customers. We have also kept our valves in tune with the latest technological advancements in materials, manufacturing, pattern making & foundry & operators fields. This has enabled us to offer valves from 50mm to 3500mm sizes in pressure ratings of 6 to 40bar, in Cast / Fabricated constructions in Cast Iron, Carbon & Alloy Steels & Stainless Steels & also rubber-lined variety. The types of operators offered are Manual, Electrical, Pneumatic & Electro- Hydraulic. We also supply large Hydraulically operated Pump discharge valves (HOPD).

B. Wafer-lined Butterfly Valves :

  • Liner locked in  precision machined grooves in valve body.
  • Sealing ribs on end faces with enough protrusion to ensure drop-tight end face joints.
  • Sturdy & long shaft bearings ensuring precise rotation of the disc assembly in the body.
  • Double shaft seal which precludes leakage possibility.
  • Sturdy disc –shaft connection.
  • Robust Hand Lever mechanism without backlash & possibility of over-travel due to provision of in-built, positive travel limit stops.
  • Possibility of offering Electrical / Pneumatic actuator.

B. Wafer-lined Butterfly Valves :

  • Optimized liner dimensions ensuring efficient sealing performance.
  • Critically controlled interference between the Rubber liner & the Disc sealing surface ensuring leak-tightness & lower operating torque at the same time leading to long seal life.

R&D Multiples delivers 3000mm/120” BFV - 19 nos (PN 1.6 MPa) in a record time of 5 months

In a yet another milestone for R&D Multiples, we are proud to announce that we have successfully delivered 19 nos of 3000mm/120’’ Butterfly valves with a design pressure rating of 1.6 MPa in a record time of 5 months post manufacturing clearance from the client. These valves will subsequently be installed in the prestigious Narmada Malwa Gambhir river link project in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. This project intends to provide irrigation facilities in 158 villages covering 50,000 hectares of area in Indore and Ujjain districts.

Shaft, Shear Pin: Stainless Steel IS 6603 Gr.15Cr16Ni2
Disc Seal Ring: EPDM Rubber
Body Seat Ring: Nickel Weld Overlay micro-finished
Clamping / Seal Retaining Ring: Stainless Steel AISI 304

Testing

Seat test pressure: 17.6 kg/cm2
Body test pressure: 24 kg/cm2
Disc strength test: 24 kg/cm2

The activities conducted during these 5 months include detailed engineering, FEA analysis (for optimization of the design), pattern making and then procurement of castings from a reputed, wellequipped foundry. Our team then worked round the clock to make sure that we meet the required delivery deadline. This is the largest diameter valve that we have manufactured till date and beats our previous best of 2800mm/112” hydraulically operated butterfly valve that we manufactured in 2016 for NTPC’s Kudgi thermal power station. In addition to these 19 valves, we also delivered 122 nos of valves (butterfly and gate valves combined) for the same project of sizes ranging from 200mm to 2500mm in the same timeframe. This further demonstrates our execution capabilities and is a clear source of advantage to all our customers.
